TUMBLEWEED™ A.K.A “Chaeto” Algae, is an absolute must when it comes to running a sump or refugium and will assist with absorption of excess phosphate/nitrate levels. Not only can it be useful for reduction of excess nutrients, but is a great home for any copepods or amphipods that live in the sump/refugium. With the correct grow light and nutrients, this should grow fairly quickly. This algae is also known to be called “CHAETO” algae. Quantities are sold in 1/2 cup increments, compressed, sealed, and shipped in leak proof packaging. Many hobbyists like to refer to Chaeto Algae as “Spaghetti Algae” due to its form and characteristics.
